Test Drive

We went out and test drove a Prius tonight. There was one moment where I was at a stop sign and the car would NOT start. Turns out that (as you well know), Susie is a "hands on" type of person & has to check out every button to see what it does. Including the one labeled "P" above the joystick used to shift between Drive / Reverse / Neutral. Turns out the "P" stands for "Park"... she (unknowingly) shifted into Park while I was at a stop sign.

And the shifter is a joy stick. It goes back to the neutral position after you select your mode:
R-Reverse (left then up)
D-Drive (left then down)
B-Battery regeneration (down) used for driving downhill where you want to emphasize using the momentum of the car to charge the battery.
